1) You should receive an Elections card in the mail, so hold tight. If you don’t, visit Elections BC, or call 1.800.661.8683 to find out where you can vote. Vancouverites can visit COV votes. Election day is Saturday, October 20th. If you’re not registered yet bring your ID and a piece of mail with your current address. You CAN vote without ID or proof of address but you’ll need someone who lives in your city to come with you and swear you are who you say you are.

2) If you don’t know who to vote for Mayor and/or council consider what you value most as a community member and Earthling. ie Housing, bike lanes, homelessness, development, transit, public art, fentanyl etc. Consult with people you respect and take political advertisements with a grain of salt. Find Vancouver candidates here.

3) Vancouverites will also be given the opportunity to vote for School Board members and Parks & Recreation Board members but not obliged to.
