1) You should receive an Elections card in the mail, so hold tight. If you don’t, visit Elections Canada, or call 1.800.463.6868 to find out where you can vote. Federal Election day in Canada is Monday, October 21st. If you’re not registered by voting day, bring to the polling station, your ID and a piece of mail with your current address. You CAN vote without ID or proof of address but you’ll need someone who lives in your city to come with you and swear you are who you say you are.

2) If you don’t know which party (or independent candidate) to vote for consider what you value most as a Canadian and an Earthling. ie Indigenous rights, resource development, climate change, immigration, corporate greed, etc. Consult with people you respect and take political advertisements with a grain of salt.
